I use to give this place 4 or 5 but last time I was there a week ago I felt like it may not be around much longer (it was one of my favorite spots) but the edge is gone that ole magic - gone. Still get great service though, but I guess the old cooks are gone and you can tell, but it's always got a place in my heart.

The same good true New Mexican food that I have eaten there since 1969. I'm a native of NM, good food, good service, nice friendly atmosphere. The Tradition that Sal set long ago is still carried through today.

Best 10 buck lunch. So good. I got the chili cheese fries and steak pieces. So good it came with guacamole too. The staff is really nice and attentive. It's next to pink rhino sandwiched by a comic book store. Food is super good. I got green and red chili... Which the locals call Christmas. Side note I'm a local 😎

The restaurant has great New Mexico food and lots of it the atmosphere is not very nice or fancy but I come to this restaurant to eat not to be entertained you will like taco Sal

It hurts to say but it was the worst experience ive have had in a while. To start the food was minimal and bland. The service was terrible, our host was rude and unaccomidating, The amenities that would be offered were not operable such as running water in the bathrooms or air conditioning in a restraunt. To ice the cake part of the order was not brought until the end of the meal...👎👎👎👎

Not good...staff was friendly enough but food was awful. Tortilla burger was HORRIBLE and made me sick. Both the meat and the chile tasted rancid.

Real Authentic Mexican food. Maybe a lil too authentic. The food is top notch but the place could use a facelift. Did I mention they had great food?

Great Food. Friendly service. During the COVID they are taking call in orders and will bring out. Always hard working.

The food is good, but my drink has stayed empty and I'm not the only one. I have not been checked on since I received my food. There is one other customer in here. They are not busy. The chips are crumb like and the salsa is straight out of a can. The saving grace are the whole beans. My sopapillas were cold also.

The food was very good, like home cooking and with generous portions. The service was also good and the server was very nice and attentive. They have been around since the 60s and have a beautiful, vintage neon sign too. Stop in, it's a cool local spot.

I ordered a steak and bean burrito and they used LIVER! 😵😖😷 🤒 THAT WAS A FIRST EXPERIENCE THAT I WISH I NEVER HAD!!

What a wonderful place to host any occasion. We held my daughter's graduation party here and it was such a warm and welcoming environment. We want to thank Sylvester, Omar and the rest of the staff for making us feel like family. The food was excellent as well. Always a nice bite! We really enjoyed the enchiladas. Reasonable rates! The Sopa combo is excellent.

Taco Sals is an Albuquerque tradition and landmark. They were featured in several movies not to mention breaking bad. Oh by the way, their food is also excellent! I always get the Mexican combo red and it never disappoints.

I had the carne adovada breakfast plate from the lunch special. Price was great under $7.Food was good, did need some salt, red Chile was not hot at all. The waiter was friendly and full of energy! Give them a shot!

My wife and I went for lunch and ordered the fiesta platter and the taco enchilada combo. Everything was tasty. I had the best horchata that I've ever had! I will definitely recommend Taco Sal's to friends.

01/23/2019. our waiter today was so friendly and helpful and sweet! Thanks so much for a great dining experience. 💙. I got the brunch off the lunch menu and everything was tasty... I couldn't decide which I liked better the green sauce or the red sauce. Chips and salsa were wonderful and plentiful and then he brought huge sopapillas too! Can't wait to go back.

When they say extra hot, they're not kidding. I had huevos rancheros, with the extra hot red, and the extra hot green, (you do have to specify), and I'm sitting here sweating while I type...This place has always been fav of mine, been eating here for more than 30 years.

Sad that this place changed hands. The food not spicy
